Curriculum vitae :
Theodor Borangiu is full professor at the Faculty of Automatic Control and Computers of the University Politehnica of Bucharest since 1991. He teaches courses in manufacturing control, robot vision, PLC and microcontrollers. Prof. Borangiu is director of the research centre CIMR - ‘Computer Integrated Manufacturing’ in Bucharest, which he founded in 1994. His areas of interest are: distributed and intelligent automation, digital manufac-turing control and robot-vision. He has expertise in cloud manufacturing, service-oriented, holonic and multi-agent manufacturing control, and visual servoing of robots. Prof. Borangiu has supervised 44 Ph.D. theses and is author of 42 books and of more than 280 peer reviewed articles in journals, book chapters and conference proceedings.
